nimpuno Dr. Krisno Nimpuno, architect, teaches at the Wits University, Johannesburg. He is specialist on disaster prenvetion and ecological sanitation systems. He also is director of the Office for Disaster Preparedness in Africa, ODPA, at Wits University. And of the Disaster and Emergency Reference Center (DERC) of Delft University. He regularly works in projects on rural development, infrastructure planning, refugee resettlement schemes, environmental improvement on behalf of internationals organizations, such as the World Bank, the UN, and others. |

verma Dr. Ashish Verma, is assistant Professor at the Dept. of Civil Engineering., IIT Guwahati, near Calcutta. 2004-2006 he worked as a transport planning engineer in Mumbay after having worked as a teaching assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and the Shri. Govindaram Seksaria Institute of Technology and Science. He has a long list of awards, publications, conference papers and consultancy assignments since his graduation in 1999. |

dipl.-ing. kerstin zillmann is a German urban planner, environmental management expert and social scientist and has been lecturing at numerous universities in Germany and abroad. She has been involved in projects in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Cuba, Kenya, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey, Uruguay, and Venezuela. Her research and action interests focus on gender issues, urban renewal and low-income housing policies – which also is the subject of many of her numerous publications |
