Regulations and standards for presenting a PhD thesis may vary from one university to another. Therefore it is important to be aware of these requirements at an early stage.

 

eligibility

For PhD studies at the Faculty of Architecture, Darmstadt University, a recognized diploma from a minimum five years course in architecture, planning or related disciplines is required. Foreign students are advised to enquire about the recognition of their diploma in time – please consult the faculty Dean:

Unless coverage of living cost and research expenses are secured from own sources or third source funding, it is extremely difficult to successfully conclude a PhD study within a reasonable time span. Most grants exert an age limit and request foreign students to apply from within their home country. Further information may be found under www.interplan-alumni.net
