The students will perform a commissioned investigation as part of a commissioned (research or planning) contribution to an ‘life’ development project. Their work must comply with the terms of reference exerted by the commissioning development agency and students may experience realistic project stress. This exercise is not only the definite test for the student to decide whether he or she wants to continue a career in project practice or rather opt for an academic career (which would imply a subsequent PhD study). It also provides the necessary project experience normally considered a precondition to be employed or commissioned by an development cooperation agency. |
